Great article! One thing I noticed is when I archived a message in Outlook - the message disappears from the inbox, and that provided a visual clue to me that it had been archived. I’m curious - does the user need an additional confirmation?
Sometimes the disappearing message happens too quick for some users to register what happened. Therefore, a small inline tooltip might be useful to assure them their action was carried out successfully. This is especially needed if you are offering them an opportunity to "Undo" their action.
Inline tooltips are a cool idea!
What are your thoughts on displaying this same feedback with dynamic buttons themselves instead?
I think this is quite a pragmatic design

Makes sense. Thanks !
